How SPI Medical Transcription can make it work for you, one step at a time.
A number of CPR Online websites which state that their
course curricula follow the standards recommended by the
American Heart Association now offer CPR training,
recertification, and renewal for a certain fee.
Self-contained, step-by-step text with streaming audio is
provided online, giving an individual the option to start with
Basic CPR Online lessons and then proceed to more advanced
topics such as Adult CPR, and Children and Baby CPR or Infant
CPR. The text is immediately available and can be read through
at the user's preferred pace, allowing them to stop at a
certain point and continue again from there. After going
through course material, a test is given, and must be passed in
order to gain certification for CPR. These tests can actually
be taken and re-taken a number of times until the user is able
to get a passing score. After having passed the said final
test, the CPR certificate will then be generated, and is
available to be printed by the user right then and there.
Most online training information on CPR include a brief
history of CPR, the mechanics of the circulatory system,
situational assessment and corresponding action, and the
A-B-C's of CPR. Training is divided into sections each with its
own Review page. Readings use minimal technical jargon and use
simple, easy to understand instructions complete with
illustrations and diagrams. As mentioned above, an individual
can choose to learn only about basic adult CPR and get
certified for Basic CPR, and after that they also have the
option of studying the different procedures involved in Baby
CPR or Infant CPR, and also Child CPR, and therefore obtain
Full CPR Certification. A number of programs also offer 24-hour
help hotlines.
CPR certificates obtained are valid for two years, after
which recertification would have to be done. Multiple copies of
both the certificate and the wallet card can be printed. In
addition to having to pass the qualifying exams, individuals
would also have to pay approximately $24 to $40 in order to get
a hold of these certificates. Prices would mostly depend on
whether the certificate would be standard (Basic Adult CPR) or
full (Adult CPR, Child CPR, and Infant CPR). Although these can
be printed directly online, a professionally printed
certification can also be sent via postal mail, with only a few
additional shipping charges.
